At Linden Road, we assess learning continually. We use formative assessment throughout our lessons to ensure children's next steps are targeted and an appropriate challenge or intervention is made. 

Our formal, summative assessments take place termly. Year 2 and Year 6 use practice SATS papers as their formal assessments during Autumn and Spring terms. All other year groups in KS1 and KS2 are assessed using NFER. NFER assesses Grammar, Spelling, Punctuation, Reading, Arithmetic and Reasoning. 

Data is carefully tracked by teachers and senior leaders to ensure all children are making good levels of progress. Leaders and teaching teams meet termly to discuss assessment data and action accordingly.
